Foulsyke Farmhouse
Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Foulsyke Farmhouse is a delightful B & B situated in the picturesque village of Scalby, 4 miles North of Scarborough on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. It is approximately 250 years old and set on a working farm on the Duchy of Lancaster Estate retaining many original features. Offering an informal, elegant yet homely standard of charm it is perfect for a relaxing break or a base for outdoor activities we are ideally situated for exploring the superb North Yorks coast
Karen & Owen Gregory took over Foulsyke after living in Cyprus for 5 years and we are ably assisted by our rescue dogs Jasper & Daisy and cats Minnie & Ena named after Coronation Street Stars of many years ago. Jasper is a real character and has any eye for the ladies! and Daisy is a collie/Labrador cross a little shy at first but very friendly once she gets to know you. We are non smoking and as we are set on a working farm unfortunately we cannot accomodate children or pets. We provide a warm welcome on arrival and an informal, relaxed atmosphere. Come in relax and unwind in our beautiful home, we love it and are sure you will too What the AA says about Foulsyke Farmhouse "A positive stay, rooms presented well offering a delightful selection of accessories. Quality overall has improved since takeover and the Loft remains impressive. Improvements in the dining room offer a very good impression to guests" | Overall rating: 4.9 out of 5 Very nice place, just nicely placed for us on edge of scalby village, quiet, freindly. I have lived in Scarborough all my life (53yrs) and for anyone wanting to explore the coast & moors, this place is ideal. zoe / May 13 Read more reviews | |
